Featuring: A presentation about the Enbridge Corporation's Line 61 Tar Sands pipeline, for which Enbridge is applying to double the capacity, by taking existing pipes and applying more horsepower at the pumping stations. It is the already-existing "tar sands pipeline" running through Wisconsin while everyone's attention is on the Keystone XL Pipeline, awaiting U.S. approval. Wisc. Safe Energy Alliance will do the presentation, about 1/2 hour.  

Join the Wisconsin Green Party in the Stevens Point Area, as we organize to bring Green values of grassroots democracy, social justice, nonviolence, and ecological wisdom to our community. We will discuss how Greens can make an impact in upcoming local elections and ongoing coalitions regarding issue campaigns such as the pipeline (above), the CAFO farms, high-capacity wells and groundwater, the Penokee Hills mine, and others, and brainstorm ways to grow a sustainable alternative to big-money politics as usual.
